This species are known as “grass snake imposters”! However they lose their patterning as adults making them easy to deter from each other!

Handling: This snake is handleable however can be quick at this size, so careful handling required.
Enclosure recommendations
Currently needs a 30x30x45 terrarium or a 45x45x60 terrarium. As adults they need a large semi-arboreal set up as they can reach 4ft in length!
This species does well at ambient room temperatures (20-26 degrees Celsius) as adults they can even be kept outside all year round.
Being a European colubrid, they do benefit from a brumation period, even at this size, however they can wait until adulthood to brumate.
