Albino Anaconda Hognose Female For Sale
Currently for sale in our Iver reptile shop.
Silly and sassy little female Albino Conda Hognose snake.
Photos taken February 2024
Sex: Female
Captive bred : yes, 2022 hatch
Handling: Lovely to handle, little sassy as all good Hognoses are! All huff and no bite.
Size range: females will average 28 - 36” at maturity
Housing and habitat: would currently suit a hatchling set up to upgrade to a 3ft as adult. arid type setup with a basking spot of 30 - 32c
Suitable for: beginners
Named after their cute upturned noses which they use to bury themselves and create tunnel networks.
Similar care to corns but at a reduced size being one of the smaller species we regularly stock and produce in house. Males average only 2 ft with females growing to around 3 ft so a vivarium of similar length works perfectly for them.
This species is known as rear-fanged venomous - a scary name for a not so scary adaptation - they use a bacteria in their mouths to improve their hunting odds.
This can act similarly to a bee sting with some people being allergic and more prone to swelling and itching of the bite site. That being said this species isn’t overly bitey and is more likely to give a warning head butt if provoked.
Suitable set ups from £145
