For sale in our Bracknell reptile shop
Age: CB 2023
Sex: Possible Male
Adult Size: Ranges from 2 to 3ft
Lifespan: 15 to 20 years
Handling: Tolerate handling
Diet: Reptile safe vegetation
Suitability: Beginners who can provide a large enough enclosure
Natural Habitat: Open, rocky, hot and arid parts of Egypt, North Africa and the Middle East
Enclosure recommendations
At their current size, babies can be housed in a 4x2ft vivarium. However as adults we recommended a 5- 6ft long enclosure as a minimum to allow them to correctly thermoregulate their large body.
Uromastyx require a very hot basking temperature, which should be provided via thermostatically controlled overhead basking bulbs.
We recommend using a cluster of multiple basking bulbs for an adult to allow them to heat their entire body. UV lighting is essential.
