Green Tree Pythons are best known for their bright green colouration and their strictly arboreal (tree-dwelling) nature, which make them perfect inhabitants of a large naturalistic display enclosure!

Adult Green Tree Pythons should be housed in an enclosure measuring 3ft (90cm) long and 2ft (60cm) high as a minimum, although bigger is better.
Thermostatically controlled overhead heating should be provided, and all heat sources should be protected from direct contact with the snake.
Temperatures should be measured with an accurate digital thermometer or heat gun. UV lighting is beneficial.
Having plenty of climbing opportunities, arboreal hides and perches within the enclosure is essential as this species is rarely seen on the ground.
