A brightly coloured terrestrial frog species which thrives in bioactive enclosures, wanting to live community with other frogs of the same species.
You will want a well established bioactive enclosure, ideally 60cm x 45cm or larger, with UVB lighting and thermostatically controlled heating to help maintain a hotspot temperature of 24*C all year round.
Despite their name poison dart frogs are only poisonous in the wild due to the food which they eat and our lovely frogs, being born in captivity, are unable to develops their famous poison.
