Lifespan: 10-15+ years
Handling: Friendly
Suitability: Beginner who would like to breed this species
Diet: Crested Gecko Diet and Insects
Natural Habitat: Humid forests of New Caledonia
Enclosure recommendations
Chameleon Geckos should be housed in a glass Terrarium measuring at least 30x30x45cm (Lxdxh) as a minimum.
They should be provided with a thermostatically controlled heat mat or overhead low-wattage heat bulb, and UV lighting is beneficial.
This species is arboreal (tree-dwelling) and would benefit from lots of climbing opportunities within the enclosure, such as branches, cork rounds, plants and vines.
The enclosure should be misted once a day to maintain the correct humidity levels.
