Enclosure recommendations

Hatchlings can be housed in smaller terrariums or vivariums whilst young. A manageable boa species growing to around 4-6ft in length, with females being the top end of that. We would advice an adult size enclosure to be a minimum of 4ft for smaller males and 4ft x 2ft for females, although larger would be recommended - we are able to source vivariums up to 8ft if desired. This species requires high humidity and a hot spot temperature of 30-32*C. Although UVB is non essential for snakes it can go a long way to help the colours pop!

Thermostatically controlled and guarded overhead heating should be provided 24/7 as this species does not tolerate significant temperature drops at night.

They appreciate plenty of clutter in the form of plants, hides and low branches within the enclosure, and a soil/coconut husk substrate that will help to maintain the constantly high humidity requirements of this species.

Suitable baby set ups available at £230+ and adult kits starting from £435.
