Rankin's Dragons are a great alternative to their cousin, the Bearded Dragon! They have a similar ease of care and friendly nature, just in a smaller package!

However, we cannot guarantee that other issues will not appear as they age which could impact their quality of life and require vet attention.
The correct calcium and vitamin supplement schedule alongside quality UV lighting is essential for this individual.
Enclosure recommendations
Adult Rankin's Dragons should be housed in a 3ft long vivarium as the minimum size enclosure for this species. Babies should go into their adult enclosure straight away as they are very fast growing.
They require a thermostatically controlled heat bulb and 12-14% UV lighting, and temperatures should be measured using a digital thermometer or heat gun for accuracy. The correct calcium and vitamin supplement schedule is essential for this individual.
