Details

Named after the stunning iridescence of their scales, Colombian Rainbow Boas make beautiful pet snakes and a great smaller alternative to the Common Boa!

Unlike their more common cousins the Brazilian Rainbow Boa, Columbians lose their patterning as they age, meaning their iridescence becomes even more vivid!

  • Photos taken October 2024

  • For sale in our Bracknell reptile shop

  • Age: CB24 Babies

  • Sex: Female

  • Morph: 66% het Albino

  • Priced Individually

  • Adult Size Range: 3 to 5ft, Females larger than Males

  • Handling: Will calm down once used to their new owner

  • Suitability: Well-researched Beginners who understand their humidity requirements

  • Natural Habitat: Humid rainforests of South America

Enclosure recommendations

Hatchlings can be housed in smaller terrariums or vivariums whilst young. Adults should be housed in a well-sealed vivarium measuring a minimum of 4ft in length.

Thermostatically controlled and guarded overhead heating should be provided 24/7 as this species does not tolerate significant temperature drops at night.

They appreciate plenty of clutter in the form of plants, hides and low branches within the enclosure, and a soil/coconut husk substrate that will help to maintain the constantly high humidity requirements of this species.
